We seem to have lost some of our members since the Depot was destroyed by fire in June of 2008. It's hard to stay enthused about an organization whose primary structure or reason for existence is destroyed. However, FOTD remains constant in our strong devotion to the goal of preserving the railroad history of the town of Tehachapi. We know there are others who feel as we do but who have, for one reason or another, allowed their membership to lapse.

The Tehachapi Depot will be completed soon, and we will begin to build the true heart of the Depot — the Historic Tehachapi Depot Museum. If you could see the wonderful exhibits and displays that are planned for the Museum, I know you would climb back on board and join us in our efforts. The Tehachapi Depot Museum is going to be the "Diamond" in the heart of downtown Tehachapi and we invite you to become a part of it.
