On June 22, several members of the Friends of The Tehachapi Depot joined Marlan Woodside on a day trip to the California Science Center in Los Angeles. Members met at the Lancaster 1950's café "Katz & Jammers" for breakfast and then boarded the 9:15am MetroLink, and by following Marlan's expert and skilled advice as to which transfer's to take, they made it to their final destination at the Expo Park/USC stop.
We made the Science Center by lunch time and after enjoying a relaxing lunch, browsed the Gift/Bookstore, viewed the Space Shuttle Endeavour, and viewed the 3D Hubble IMAX Movie. Teenagers and adults alike were engaged and enlightened in an educational trip to Expo Park. Thanks to Marlan for his time and patience in guiding (herding actually) all of us novice MetroLink tourists!!
