The case involving two men charged with burning down the Tehachapi train depot last summer may go to trial Nov. 9, according to the Kern County Superior Court. Brian O'Donnell and Jason Watson both rejected a plea deal at an Oct. 30 readiness hearing that would have offered a felony conviction and a maximum of three years in prison. Jeffrey Brodey, Watson's attorney, said the trial start date could be pushed back an additional week.
